Olympia Steel Buildings J Trim Package.
Olympia Steel Buildings supplies J trim to cover the cut edges of the wall panels around the door openings. The J trim package includes jamb covers for the galvanized jambs and a header cover for the galvanized header. This complete metal building trim package enhances the beauty of the steel building and is supplied to Olympia customers at no charge. Additionally a foam closure, also supplied to Olympia customers at no charge, is placed inside the buildings header J trim to prevent leaks from the top of the door opening.
Olympia Steel Buildings Base Trim Package.
The heavy 16-gauge galvanized base angle is
attached to the top outer edge of the pre-engineered steel buildings foundation. The wall panels are cut 1" longer than the building height so they will extend 1" below the top of the foundation to create a straight finish seat for the bottom of the wall panels and completely seal the bottom of the building against leads. The metal building trim on the bottom of the building closes off the bottom of the corrugation of the wall panel and matches the trim on the steel building creating a beautiful structure. The base trim is supplied to Olympia customers at no additional cost.
Metal Buildings Competitions J Trim.
Other companies supply J trim for the side and top of the cut-away opening, but do not include header of jamb covers. These jambs and header are not galvanized, having only an oxide primer that will rust, detracting from the appearance of the building. Additionally, there is no foam closure insude the J trim at the top of the opening beside the header. This encourages leaks at the top of the header.
Metal Buildings Competitions Base Trim.
Other companies do not use a galvanized base angle. Instead, they ahve a base angle painted with a red oxide primer which will corrode and rust. The base angle in many cases is only 20-gauge which is approximately 32 percent l ighter than 16-gauge and will bend and warp during bu ilding construction. The base trim, if any, is offered as an option at additional cost.
